All guests are required to complete their booking and schedule their tours online. All reservations require a credit card to be placed on file.

We require that reservations are canceled by phone call 48 hours prior to the tour, or you will be charged the full tour value on the credit card provided.

Yes, but only to the kayaks. Our Sea Thru kayaks are weight limited at 235 lbs per person, and 385 lbs per kayak. There will be two people per kayak. The weight limits are critical for paddler safety. When the kayaks are overloaded, they are much more susceptible to sinking.

All guests will be weighed in upon arrival, without exceptions. The kayak weight limits will be adhered to, regardless of what your driver’s license says you weigh.

The DEET and other chemicals in bug repellants are harmful to the bioluminescent organisms that we are here to witness. If you are concerned with insects, we recommend you wear long sleeves and pants to limit your skin exposure to biting insects.

We recommend swimwear or other moisture wicking clothing. You will likely get wet from ocean spray or water splashing and dripping on you from the paddles. If you are sensitive to bugs we suggest long pants and a long-sleeved shirt. *No footwear of any kind will be worn in the kayaks.

No, unfortunately, we don’t allow swimming in the bay. This is for both for your own safety, and to protect the organisms we are here to see.

This is an adventure tour with considerable paddling in each direction. All children under the age of 13 must have a capable, fit adult in the kayak with them, and children under 8 will not be allowed on the tour.

All kayaks will seat two people, and each child must be accompanied by an adult. If you have more kids than adults, please give us a call to discuss options of paring your child with one of our guides.

On the day of the tour, it is likely that your un-paired party member will be paired with another guest on the tour, or will be paired with one of our tour guides.

We will commence and continue tours in the rain. Sudden Caribbean rain showers have been known to occur, typically the rain passes quickly, and the tour will resume. Rainstorms do not affect the bioluminescence, and actually, add a beautiful raindrop glowing effect.

Guests may bring a plastic bottle of water and a camera on board. No bags, alcohol, tobacco, or e-cigarettes are allowed.

If you are unable to complete the tour, you will be towed back to shore and charged full trip value. Examples of people who couldn’t complete the tour are; people who are intoxicated, under the influence, not physically fit enough to complete the 1.5-mile tour and people who are too heavy for the kayaks.

We do consider this an adventure tour. We launch in paddle powered kayaks, travel 3/4 mile in each direction, and cross the Salt River Bay en route to the bio bay. The difficulty of the paddle across the bay depends upon the current environmental wind and wave conditions. This is not a race or a contest and your safety is the highest priority for our guides. Please consider your own current physical fitness level prior to booking this tour. If you are not comfortable even walking 1.5 miles, do you think that you would be comfortable paddling that distance?

No worries. All guests will be fitting with, and required to wear, a USCG approved personal flotation device.

- This tour requires a moderate level of physical fitness to complete 1.5 miles of paddling, in potentially windy conditions.
